The fabricated gear case supports the electric machine via a lantern connection and takes up the hydraulic thrust. Thus Lufkin designs strong reinforcing ribs in order to achieve perfect rigidity and stability of the assembly and helical gears made from alloy steel, carburized, hardened and profile ground. Gears, olling bearings and thrust bearings are designed to ensure the best operating life and minimize downtime. The PV2C series ensure very high fficiency as well as low sound level.
